Referral rules

The referral scheme lets you invite people you know to Sakalm. The referrer receives a sum in euros, the person referred receives a gift in the game. Here are the rules, in full.
WHAT ALREADY WORKS, AND WHAT IS WAITING
No subscription is on sale yet. The referral scheme exists and the gift for the person referred works from today: the Half Race Number unlocks on their first activity, and it depends on no payment, neither theirs nor yours.
The referrer’s commission, on the other hand, can only fall due from the day the subscription is offered. The prices given below are the ones planned, and they are the ones that will apply on that day if they have not changed by then. These rules are published in advance so that nobody discovers them when the shop opens.
WHO CAN BE A REFERRER
Anyone aged 18 or over with a Sakalm account. Referral produces taxable income and reporting obligations: that is why it is closed to minors, while the rest of the app is open from 16.
The age used is the one given at sign-up. An account not yet 18 has no referral code at all: it gets one on the day it turns 18, without having to ask. Being referred, however, stays open from 16, because receiving a gift in the game is not joining a paid scheme.
No sum is asked for taking part. Being a referrer requires no subscription, no purchase and no fee of any kind, and you do not need to be a subscriber yourself to receive a commission.
WHO CAN BE REFERRED
Anyone who creates a Sakalm account and has never had one before. The link is made by entering the referrer’s code, through the link, through the QR code or by hand, during the account’s first thirty days. After that it is no longer possible, and once made it cannot be changed.
An account cannot refer itself. Creating several accounts as one person cancels the corresponding earnings.
WHAT THE REFERRER RECEIVES
Thirty per cent of the price paid by the person they referred on their FIRST Premium subscription, tax included, and once only per person referred.
At the planned rates: EUR 1.80 for a monthly subscription at EUR 5.99, EUR 4.80 for a quarterly one at EUR 15.99, EUR 15.00 for a yearly one at EUR 49.99. During a launch offer, the percentage applies to the amount actually paid, never to the crossed-out price.
Renewals earn nothing. A second subscription taken by the same person earns nothing. Shop purchases earn nothing.
Goldies and Race Numbers cannot be bought with money. There is therefore no commission on them, and there cannot be one.
WHAT THE PERSON REFERRED RECEIVES
A welcome gift, once only per account: either a Half Race Number, or its equivalent in Goldies. The two are worth exactly the same, and the choice belongs to the person referred. A Half Race Number is HALF a Race Number: on its own it is not enough to enter a Challenge +. Two Half Race Numbers make one whole Race Number, and it is the whole Race Number that grants entry.
This gift unlocks when the person referred has recorded their FIRST ACTIVITY. It is not obtained by installing the app, nor by creating an account, nor by paying anything. No subscription, no purchase and no spending conditions the Half Race Number, or improves it.
WHEN THE MONEY BECOMES AVAILABLE
An earning waits seven days after the referred person’s payment, then becomes available. From EUR 10 available, the referrer can request payment, which goes out within a few days.
WHEN AN EARNING IS CANCELLED
An earning is cancelled in three cases, and in those three cases only: the person referred obtains a refund of their subscription from Apple or Google, they dispute the payment with their bank, or fraud is established.
Cancellation is possible for ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY DAYS from the referred person’s payment. After that, the earning is definitively acquired by the referrer, whatever happens next.
A cancelled earning is first taken from what is still pending. If it has already been paid out, it is deducted from earnings to come. We never claim money back from a referrer.
Every cancellation is notified in writing, with its reason and its date. It can be disputed at the address given at the end of these rules, and we reply within fifteen days.
WHAT THE REFERRER SHOULD KNOW BEFORE SHARING
A code shared PUBLICLY, on a social network or in front of an audience, is a paid recommendation. The law then requires you to state clearly that it is a partnership, for example with the words "Advertisement" or "Commercial collaboration". Sent by private message to people you know, the code calls for no such statement.
The sums received are taxable income, which the referrer declares themselves. There is no exemption for small amounts.
Above EUR 2,400 received in a single calendar year, the law requires us to report these payments to the tax authorities. We then ask for the referrer’s full name and postal address, and the payment cannot go out without them.
WHAT REFERRAL IS NOT
There is only one level. Nothing is earned on the referrals of someone you referred, and there is no recruitment structure, no tier, no rank.
No sum is ever asked of a referrer, on any grounds.
Referral gives no sporting advantage: no kilometre, no experience point, no place in the ranking, no extra chance at a prize.
CLOSURE AND ABUSE
An account closed or suspended for cheating or for abuse loses its unpaid earnings, and can no longer request payment for as long as the suspension lasts. Earnings already paid are not taken back.
Creating multiple accounts, using false identities and buying referral links cancel all of the earnings of the referrer concerned.
CHANGES AND END OF THE SCHEME
The scheme may be changed or stopped at any time. Earnings already created on the day of the change remain due, and are paid according to the rules in force on the day they were created.
Any change is announced in the app before it takes effect.
WHO RUNS IT
The scheme is run by Sakalm, and by Sakalm alone. Apple and Google are neither organisers, nor sponsors, nor parties to it.
